Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Fleet Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing the financial aspects of an organization's vehicle fleet. This role ensures accurate accounting, cost control, compliance, and reporting related to fleet operations, including fuel, maintenance, depreciation, and asset management.Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records for all fleet-related transactions
  • Issuing Invoice to Customers and following up on timely settlement
  • Track and analyze fleet costs (fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance, leasing)
  • Manage capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fleet assets
  • Reconcile fleet expenses with general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fleet financial reports
  • Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations
  • Coordinate with fleet management, procurement, and operations teams
  • Support audits by providing fleet-related documentation and analysis
  • Process invoices and payments related to fleet vendors
  • Analyze vehicle lifecycle costs and utilization metrics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience (fleet, logistics is preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP or fleet management systems
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet-heavy industries
