The Service to Sales Intern will engage clients, transform service interactions into sales opportunities, and receive comprehensive training in sales and pest management.Role OverviewThe purpose of this role is to deliver pest control service in your allocated territory to the area customers and to inspect, treat and keep those customer premises pest free. You are responsible for advising the client on proofing and hygiene/housekeeping matters and of instances where their pest control coverage is incomplete or inadequate, by identification of actual, or the risk of, pest infestation.You are accountable for complying with the latest Health & Safety, Environmental and Pesticide usage regulations. In addition, all Rentokil Pest Control guidelines, manuals, booklets and printed correspondence should be adhered to at all times.Key Responsibilities: Pest Control TechnicianService Delivery and Compliance
Deliver pest control service to the customers effectively as instructed by your supervisor.
Correctly record programs and chemicals given to you and take due care to ensure the handling of chemicals complies with the health and safety policies of the company.
Handle the service cards carefully to ensure they are kept clean and submitted promptly to the office after the service.
Report promptly any Health and Safety (H&S) incidents to the SHE Supervisor and senior management.
Productivity and Planning
Maintain high productivity of service by ensuring to complete all allocated work in the week/month.
Review service routing and planning and regularly update your supervisor on any proposed changes so that all customers are attended to promptly and with minimum logistical costs as possible.
Sales Support
Generate leads and cross-selling activities by introducing our customers to new products and services available to support efforts by the sales department.
Professional Conduct
Uphold honesty, in particular on client's valuables and company assets and chemicals.
Adhere to company policies as explained by the YOU AND RENTOKIL booklet.
Comply with Rentokil Initial work ethics and in particular health and safety requirements.
Uphold to high standards of professional integrity and etiquette.
Keep your uniform clean, and personally maintain acceptable standards of cleanliness.
Training and Tools
Participate in regular in-house training whenever held and any other meeting that may be convened by your supervisor or management.
Ensure company tools under your custody are appropriately used and are free from misuse and mishandling.
Requirements:Qualifications We Are Looking ForEducational Background: A recent degree in Business, Marketing, or Environmental Science is necessary, providing theoretical and practical knowledge relevant to our field.Attitude: Candidates should have a strong sales orientation and a commitment to outstanding customer service, prioritizing client needs.Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Swahili is essential for effective communication with diverse clientele and team collaboration.Adaptability: A proactive approach is needed for hands-on fieldwork, with a willingness to adapt to varying environments in a dynamic setting.Driver's License: A valid Tanzanian driver's license is preferred, aiding in client engagement and business operations, though not mandatory for all candidates.Additional Qualifications: strong communication and interpersonal skills are sought. Ability to work independently and in teams is essential, and while knowledge in pest control and hygiene services is a plus, training will be provided.
