- This is a fixed-term consultancy contract for a period of 6 months.
- The contract may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and business needs.
- Either party may terminate the contract by providing 30 days written notice or payment in lieu of notice.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Supervise temporary staff and allocate duties effectively.
- Ensure optimal use of warehouse space and resources.
- Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records at all times.
- Conduct bi-monthly physical stock counts and reconcile variances.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with proper documentation and supervisor guidance.
- Implement controls to minimize stock losses and inaccuracies.
- Coordinate stock replenishment with Main Warehouse and Sales Team.
- Coordinate dispatch and delivery schedules with logistics teams.
- Ensure all shipments are accompanied by required documentation (Commercial Invoice, Fiscal Receipt, Delivery Note, Packing List).
- Support route and delivery optimisation.
- Resolve operational issues affecting deliveries.
- Enforce workplace health and safety standards in line with Tanzanian regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, dispatches, and warehouse activities.
- Adhere strictly to company inventory tracking systems and procedures.
- Prepare periodic performance and inventory reports.
- Record and report all damages, discrepancies, and losses.
- The Consultant will report to the Warehouse, Logistics and Procurement Manager.
- Day-to-day supervision will be under the Warehouse Operations Officer - Main Warehouse.
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Experience with inventory systems and staff supervision.
- Strong inventory control and warehouse management knowledge.
- High attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Inventory accuracy and variance control.
- Compliance with SOPs.
- Efficiency of warehouse operations.
- Timeliness of dispatch and delivery.
- Quality of reporting and documentation.
